Q: Who is Lamplark?

A: Lamplark provides competitively priced, quality learning opportunities to adults of all abilities. We are highly experienced in delivering tuition in both the public and private sectors.


Q: What makes your courses different?

A: All of our courses focus on acquiring practical skills and techniques which can be transferred to a variety of personal and professional contexts. You’ll get plenty of opportunities to practice and develop those skills in a meaningful and structured way to deepen your knowledge and understanding. You’ll be learning in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. Our trainers practice what they teach – not only will you receive quality tuition, you’ll also be encouraged to utilise your skills and natural creativity.

Q: How do you guarantee the quality of the teaching?

A: Lamplark’s team are all skilled, experienced, professional educators. We have quality assurance procedures in place to ensure the standard of tuition and learning is maintained. The performance of our trainers is continually monitored and we set the number of learners for each course to ensure the standard of tuition is not compromised.

Q: How do you guarantee the quality of the course programme?

A: There are many reasons for the success of our courses not least the quality of the course content. Our education programme is always evolving. We keep our courses relevant and up to date with latest teaching techniques and theories. Courses are regularly reviewed and re-written to keep pace with new research, processes and the changing needs of our learners.

Q: What kind of people enrol on your courses?

A: Our learners come from a wide variety of backgrounds and choose to study with us for a range of reasons. Many are looking to learn a new skill, explore a new hobby, express their creativity or learn something new for fun. Others are interested in enhancing their professional development or improve their employment prospects.

Q: Where do you deliver your classes?

A: We offer both live online courses and classroom based courses. Our public courses can be delivered at one of our partner’s London locations in Clerkenwell or Southwark. We can also deliver our courses at your premises.

Q: What if I can’t find a subject suitable for me?

A: If there is a particular skill or subject you want to learn, we can provide individual tuition tailored to your specific requirements.

Q: What about attendance and punctuality?

A: Punctuality is very important as lesson times cannot be extended beyond the advertised finish time.

Q: How can I contact my course tutor?

A: You can email us and your message will be passed on to your tutor.

Q: What happens if the course I want is full?

A: You can ask us to add your name to the waiting list. We will contact you should a vacancy become available.  

Refunds

Q: If I find the subject I’ve enrolled on isn’t suitable for me, can I get a refund?

A: Unfortunately refunds cannot be claimed once tuition has started.
We will only issue a refund if your written request is received by us at least 7 days before the tuition begins. We will charge a £5 refund administration fee. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Q: Will I get a refund if my class is cancelled?

A: Yes, if we do have to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund.


Q: Can I claim a refund if I miss a class?

A: No. Non-attendance due to illness or for professional or personal reasons does not entitle you to a refund, extra tuition or a transfer.
